Gestures & Sounds - Magnet Bar

The band Gestures & Sounds just released an EP titled "Lightning is the Name of a Dog,” which includes the song “Magnet Bar” - that sunny Californian sound you need in November.

This light song begins with delicate vocal harmonies, as if gently waking you up for the start of a new day. Then your attention is captured with excellent catchy melodies accompanied by neat vocals. In spite of the fact that the piano sound can often be quite edgy and stiff, the band managed to make it fluffy, pleasant and alive. After 2 minutes, the track seems to freeze, but only to prove that sometimes it’s worth to ignore a typical indie pop structure of the song in order to show your musical flair, which Gestures & Sounds did quite well. If Zach Braff makes his new cute indie movie, the song “Magnet Bar” would fit in perfectly.
