New York-based Canadian artist Tori Lord unveils her melodic new single about manipulative love. On Ice is a measured and languid r&b/pop track with a dynamic shift in the chorus. The pensive acoustic guitar picking and textured keys are guided by a slow-paced drum beat. Tori Lord’s lingering and velvety vocal performance confidently “calls out the hypocrisy of someone who craves the thrill of being wanted but refuses to show up when it matters.”
