Brooklyn-based duo Observation Room released the debut LP Superstructure, listen to this atmospheric piece off of it. Like other tracks on the album, Running Lights embodies a pure resurrection of ‘80s electronic/new wave. The instrumental is imbued with a retro-futuristic mechanical pop sound full of dream-like synthesizers, gated space drum machine and industrial fx. The vocal, while remaining soft, is delivered in a resonant and wary manner, pierced with anxiety-driven imagery.
