Switzerland/UK quartet Molly B. Denum debuts with a dynamic, existential take. “Cloud” carries a tight and windy post-punk essence. The pensive, glassy guitar riffs and hard rhythm section fuse in a monolithic and brisk groove that reaches its most intense phase from 2:16 onwards. With its cold, declamatory manner, the vocal layer gives the music even more steadiness. “It is both a reflection on the ideal person one aspires to be and an exploration of past actions and how we cope with them,” the musicians say of the track’s meaning.
