Venture Palace, the solo project of Nashville-based artist A.C. DeMoss, drops an intriguing new single. With its dub-rooted rhythm dynamics, echoing guitars, shiny synth pads and hallucinogenic fx, “Payload” drifts somewhere between neo-soul, alternative rock and neo-psychedelia. Right in front of you, the track goes through an amazing production mutation to create deep kaleidoscopic grooves. The vocal seems to separate into its own independent layer, while at the same time remaining an integral part of the track with its melodic flow DNA.
