Rising Toronto artist Rayhan dropped a dark hip-hop take featuring rapper Ke-Lo. The piano/vocal sampling, as if out of an ominous, hazy dream, and lethargic, monotonous drum beat make the instrumental of “530” especially piercing. The flows join in with a measured delivery, while also having demonic low parts and nervous fast, auto-tuned moments. As the musicians say, the song “captures the restless hours before sunrise - where success feels hollow, pain lingers, and numbness becomes a coping mechanism.”
