US project A Thousand Mad Things, led by William Barradale, dropped a hypnotically pulsing new single. “Girl” is a dark and rhythmic ‘80s post-punk/new wave-inspired number with a thick suspenseful bass and gothic synths/strings. It feels as if Martin Rev produced Depeche Mode. The vocal lies deep, and its atmospheric echo highlights the passionate aspects.
