Portuguese composer Elvio Rodrigues aka Slowburner presents the debut album “Life Happens In The Interim” through these reflective melodies.
The ambienty, deep and echoing, impressionistic piano piece “Improvised Life” sounds like a hazy morning walk, when the dreamland gates are not yet completely closed. The minimalistic passages bring in blurry cuts from a memory cosmos, but even in this form, they are incredible piercing. Near the end, there is only a longing for something incomprehensible beyond the horizon. Awakening, outlandish nostalgia.
