“Obatala” is a rework of the song by Brazil trio Meta Meta, which now sounds like a lounge soundtrack from ‘70s Italian films. This light, super relaxing composition, devoid of any oversaturation, gives only a drift in the ether. The warm harmonica sound evokes sweet dreamy thoughts, and the vibraphone gives a feeling of some kind of cosmic comfort. On “Obatala,” everything feels fantastically calm and measured, bringing the necessary positive sensations.
