Sydney multi-instrumentalist Joel Sammut demonstrates his trippy and rhythmic second single about the venom of arrogance.
“Please” is a distinctive funky neo-psych jam. The active drum beat, airy, spreading garage fuzz, stoned vocals, and abstract, figurative lyrics - everything sounds detached, wild, yet soft, which of course is very appealing. This track, reminding of Funkadelic, Happy Mondays, Cream, and Beck at the same time, seems to be born from an iridescent planetary nebula. Sammut's talent is shown through the engrossing work with each instrument. It feels like the song spins on a skewer, allowing you to savor every moment. In May 2021, Joel Sammut is planning to release his debut LP “Killer Strut,” and it’s unmissable.
