This collaboration of composers and musicians came together for an entertaining piece from a new album by Japanese instrumentalists Jyoji Sawada and Takayoshi Baba.
“Blue March” is deep, avant-garde chamber music with an electronic guitar, at times stepping into film score territory, and then reminding of the spirit of Third Ear Band, Art Zoyd, Tony Conrad. The lonely jazzy guitar makes its way through the faded green swamps of the strings’ dissonance. And at the end, the instrument didgeridoo takes over, conveying a spiritual and mystical subtext that the artists skillfully put into it. This music brain ticket helps quaint and strange images emerge from the subconscious, which in fact may answer the questions of your present.
