Hebdo - Thievin' Spirits

Hebdo is one of a kind musician who wiped off the dust from Americana and polished it with some great hooks and a sirenic voice. His newly released album, “Dirt Turns to Mud,” is a music adventure with unexpected and striking turns.

One of these turns is “Thievin' Spirits,” an exciting song that revives your risky side and puts you into a trance at the same time. It has it all - perfectly blended instruments, a choir singing almost in a reggae style, vivid lyrics, an infectious change of tempo. “Thievin' Spirits” sounds as if Led Zeppelin chopped of their hair, put on hats and played psychedelic desert Americana. Another surprising thing is the strings at 3:20-ish, which make the song more dramatic and just perfect for a black comedy-crime TV show, such as “Fargo,” especially if they're ever going to film a season in Texas.
