Icelandic musicians from the projects Sillus and Vil formed a new band, Bsi, (named after the bus station) and released their very first, self-titled EP.
After listening to it, it gets clear that in this decade, Bsi is one of the best examples of those bands that use only vocals, bass and drums, overlaying it with different effects and little pieces from time to time. Especially considering the fact that they never played these instruments before they got together. Probably, it’s the reason why there’s a simple, genuine and catchy drive in the track “Ekki A Leid.” Another trick in this song is that the thrilling voice, melding with the bass guitar, is not clogged by other instruments, which creates an excellent melody. Only one lyric line manages to build a set of rather strange images. Check out the music video for this song where the duo blocks the road in Reykjavik.
