British-Chilean singer-songwriter Rayen dropped the vibrant first single from her upcoming EP Boy Gone Wild. The song Check U Out! is an excellent Y2K pop/R&B cut. The 2-Step-adjacent percussion a la Timbo/The Neptunes and glam Chicago house synth pads fuse into a euphoric, rocking groove. Rayen’s smooth vocal melodies are enveloping and alluring, spiced with catchy ad-libs. “The track focuses on the feeling of being with someone who thinks they’re too good for you,” the artist says.
