South Korean four-piece inaekkum presented a new atmo-single from their upcoming second album MY (March 2027). Yips is smoothly moving indie pop/rock with a heavenly, dreamy-melancholic tone. The soft rhythm section pace and winged guitars create a pensive and cozy-sounding instrumental base. The vocal is also devoid of any intense shifts and feels cottony, while channeling a deep emotional core. The lyrics explore the theme of “the humiliation both societal and self-inflicted when one fails to meet perceived life expectations.”
