Australian composer/pianist/producer Freyja Garbett released a new album, “Sowden House,” inspired by ‘70s thrillers, listen to this dark funk track off of it featuring jazz collective Mister Ott. “Los Feliz” is trippy, voluminous grooves full of suspenseful and psychedelic visions, as if Herbie Hancock wrote the ost for an Argento film. The thick rhythm section exists somewhere between ghostly audio entities that communicate through guitar delay and keyboard passages. With its hypnotizing delivery and minimalist strokes, this music immerses you in a mysterious, surreal euphoria.
