Texas two-piece SLIPS debuts with a brisk single. “Drawing Lifelines On” showcases gritty and dancey indietronica characteristics. With abrasive synth settings and springy drums in the track’s dry mix, the band produces a pretty galvanizing sound design. Teddy Georgia’s vocal stays bold and weightless at the same time, perfectly fitting the infectious, hard mechanical quality of the composition.
