Amsterdam-based UK singer-songwriter and arranger Beth Aggett shared an atmospheric new single from the upcoming EP “Addle-O” (June 24th). “No Magic Tricks!” is lush, folky vocal jazz that brings a natural warmth of sound. With azure piano and comfy guitar strumming, following a course of lithe rhythms, the music blooms and fully breathes, further complemented by gentle alto saxophone licks. The centerpiece of the composition is Aggett’s healing light voice, imbued with sincerity that overcomes poetic melancholy.
