US-based singer Attalie offers a sensual and expressive neo-soul formula in the new single “A Dare” from her future EP. The light guitar and keys in an aquatic reverb build a breathable and spacious sonic perimeter, reinforced by a creamy bass ether. Attalie showcases her distinctive vocal style with unique, low and velvety intonations, radiating a special kind of smooth grooviness, which at one point gives way to warm saxophone passages. As a result, it sounds as if Soulquarians remixed Sade. The song delivers “a message of daring to break free from social constraints,” as the artist explains.
