Philadelphia-based two-piece Kewl Haze shared a riveting single from their upcoming debut LP "Suburban Sherpa." "Double Black Diamond" is groovy neo-psychedelia with some folky-orientalistic Madchester vibes, a la Happy Mondays meets Tame Impala. The funk-infused, head-bopping percussion and lush, cloudy guitar/synth layers fuse in a pulsing, kaleidoscopic sonic trip. The singing, swaying in an ethereal delay, unfolds through the track in warm streams. "The song is about clinging to those fleeting moments of inspiration when it’s all worth it," the band says.
