Oakland, CA composer/artist Sawyer Gebauer presented a soaring new composition. “See/Saw” creates a lingering audio image of ambient-esque post-jazz with writhing, rhythmic manipulations. The synth colors, shimmering like a magical ethereal biota, along with the smooth, dreamy smoke of the saxophone passages, as well as the twisting drumfunk breaks, as if taken from Amon Tobin’s DNA, immediately immerse you in the warmest meditation of the season.
