DJs/producers from the UK bass/electronic scene, Jamz Supernova and Karen Nyame KG, created a rocking remix of a track from Glasgow contemporary jazz artist Rebecca Vasmant’s latest LP, “Who We Are, Becoming.” Compared to the cozy-dancey approach of the initial composition, the re-edit of “Sun Song” adds punchy break beats, juicy low frequencies, and cosmic-funky synth cuts. This dynamic, intoxicating version also features guest vocalist Emilie Boyd’s chill, mellow vocal and warm trumpet passages of the original number.
