Starcharm - The Color Clear

Grotesqualizer

Chicago-based three-piece Starcharm debuted with a dynamic and cold single. The thick bass-driven rhythmic pulse, pierced with a metallic-percussive guitar, immerses you in a raw, resonating and alienated sound in the vein of Sonic Youth. The singing carries a somewhat dream pop aura, without losing touch with the track’s dark post-punk tone. “An avoidant attachment anthem if you will,” says vocalist Elena Buenrostro about the message of “The Color Clear.”
