Chicago-hailing musician Cody Gray aka Floral Couches dropped a laid-back new single with a heavy undertone. In this song, lo-fi-ed bossa nova chords meet cloudless country pedal steel over a softly swaying beat. The sound of “All In Your Head” is brought to an incredibly cottony level, thanks in part to the placid vocal delivery. Despite all this, the track tells the story of the worst experience in Gray’s life: “When I was 18 I had such a bad panic attack that I lost my memory for 3 weeks and was diagnosed with dissociative amnesia. As terrifying as it was when I snapped out of it, I now view it as my brain taking a lil vacation from the stress so it only made sense to make this song sound like a resort.”
