Brooklyn outfit Barcode Angels dropped the beguiling single from their future second LP “Self-Checkout.”
Having brewed pastoral-psych indie and gauzy art pop in “Coming Home,” the musicians created a vigorous, aerial mood. The soft, morning freshness-colored vox with playful delay shadows, the uncluttered guitars and synths, as well as the uplifting rhythm line, float in beautiful cohesion. The tune has a certain subtle fragrant, heady feel.
