Here is a gratifying new single of Glasgow-based singer-songwriter L.T.Leif that will be included in the album “Come Back To Me, But Lightly,” out in January 2023.
“Pass Back Through” is sun-warmed, mellow drone pop, as if Phoebe Bridgers was obsessed with “Outside The Dream Syndicate.” The arrangement presents an organic, wide and lovely repetitiveness with dialects of neo-psychedelia and space rock revival. But L.T.Leif’s ravishing, clear vocal, in some moments supported by the choir, in a unique way remains in the melodic environment of indie pop/indie folk of recent times. And the metaphorical lyrics are inspired by the inevitable life lessons and the vibrant connection between people and nature. As a result, the artist’s unordinary vision is incarnated in “Pass Back Through.”
