Trio Ramberget, stings/wind instruments improvisers from Gothenburg, Sweden, demonstrate a profound piece off the new volume of their album “24 Ways,” out on February 28.
The composition “E Major” represents cinematic, airy drone-ish chamber music. Listen how the trombone, bass clarinet and bowed contrabass become an air flow in its reach, slowly guiding nacreous clouds into the silent, unexplored space. The track’s musical panorama is ambivalent, it pierces with wide and dreamy warmth and inconsolable melancholy. As if a group of post-rock introverts decided to turn to classical music for an even more complete, non-conditional delivery. These almost six minutes are filled with confidential minimalism, incredible breadth, and induce the inner conversation.
