Los Angeles band GOON led by songwriter and musician Kenny Becker are back with a new line-up and a delightful tune.
“Garden Of Our Neighbor” is a warming, soaring sound, a neat and comfy elegy. The instrumental is soaked in the ocean breeze, it’s smooth, not pushy, and combines sincerity with spaciousness. GOON beautifully cruise from shabby, ethereal folk to somnambulistic indie. The lyrics are full of nostalgic daydreaming and the experience of the poet, and Becker's vocals sound very soft and enveloping. Altogether, the melody here fascinates with some kind of inner restraint. On February 25, “Garden Of Our Neighbor” will be featured on the band’s new EP “Paint by Numbers, Vol. 1.”
