The diverting newest single from Oslo, Norway songsmith Simen Mitlid is available for listening.
“DNA” is uncommon, rhythmic and folky indie pop with gentle and chill vocals with a robotic effect in the verses. The measured, yet funky drumming and the slick bass accompany the entire track, while the soothing, pastoral sound of the acoustic guitar evenly spreads over it, along with the distant, captivating keyboards. The singing doesn’t sound cloying, but comfy and easy, adding more airiness and splendor to the music of “DNA” in the chorus. And the lyrics came to the artist from background TV - Simen created a story from random words he heard there. The track will be included in Simen Mitlid’s upcoming EP that will be released this spring.
