French MC Flem has presented the diverting new EP “Nomades,” produced by renowned Malian songwriter and guitarist Vieux Farka Toure.
The track of the same name is a combination of sonorous Tuareg melodies and perky hip-hop. The agile, melodious guitar loop draws its own figure, while Flem narrates about fighting and overcoming obstacles. And singer Amy Doumbia’s chorus variations, performed in Bambara, give the track even more beauty and atmosphere. “Nomades” is an example of an interesting and dynamic collaboration.
