The Kerosene Hours - You Were In My Dreams Last Night

Grotesqualizer

Los Angeles dark dreams diver Aaron Silverstein presents his new hit.

Surreal noir-ish post-punk, surrounded by the radiance of cold colors and an acrid cigarette smoke, with the clinging, euphoric low vocal passages. The dark side of love, sexual nightmares and manic passion blend and become exaggerated in this goddamn rhythmic grotesque. As if Rita from “Mulholland Drive” woke up in the world of Matthew Stokoe’s second novel, and in a dubious midnight bar, an endless song plays out of the jukebox - it’s the stoned Bauhaus cover The Electric Prunes with some ambiguous undertones. “You Were In My Dreams Last Night” is a charming blade of secrets from fantasies that attract and melt right away.
