Diet - Take Me

This is the last week of summer 2018, and the song “Take Me” by Melbourne quintet Diet is ideal for these days. It’s as refreshing as opening a cold bottle of your favorite soda.

Blowing around your sails with a nicely crafted, sunny guitar riffs and a vibrant rhythmic pattern, the song carries you in the right direction. The vocals are young, hungry and filled with splattering, flashing impulses. And by the second chorus, the whole song literally starts to sparkle, splitting into thousands of colorful fireworks. “Take Me” vaguely resembles The Cure during “Wish” and the energy of The Killers in their early days. The fade out effect does its job, as well. This awesome track is a part of the recently released EP Sundown’’ that embraces melodic and nostalgic beauty.
