Cologne sound miners Blarg present their breakthrough work, and without exaggeration, it seems like this is the most cutting-edge musical brainchild of 2019 at the moment.
Theodor Steiner and Tom Kirschner created a hungry mashup consisting of everything from alt-synth punk, alkaloid bossa nova to post-club and ethno-kraut, building it in perfect proportions and in the only one way possible, pushing out the sticky, simple melodies to winding, dangerous turns. The lyrics, not foreshadowing jolts, at one moment put on a painted robe of overtones. The 7-minute "Voidz Brazil" is like a solid LP, as if polished by a whole group of enthusiasts, and not just two people, and turned into a masterpiece audio thriller with perfectly aligned lighting.
