German producer/multi-instrumentalist Michael Dommes and his project The Surf Shack presented an agile single. “Take Your Time” is chill psych-funk from the lost tropics, with magnetic grooves and laid-back melodies. The rhythm section works tightly and energetically, supporting the winding, sun-drenched and breeze-blown guitars with a juicy wah-wah. The soft singing picks up this vibe, residing between pleasant, refreshing reverberation waves.
