US artist Lyfe Indoors has shared a soaring new take. “Dark Sky Under The Avionics” is uncluttered downtempo built with pure post-rock organica. The soft bass delivery and soporific drum beat, as if emanating from the void, meet the enigmatic guitar spaciousness and gauzy synth/fx background to create a deep, contemplative feel. At the same time, the vocal fits into the mix without disturbing the atmosphere, as quietly and seamlessly as possible. “I was at a party, feeling disconnected, and ended up finding comfort in watching planes pass above a cloudy night sky,” the musician explains of the inspiration behind the track.
