Austrian two-piece Leyya dropped their third album “Half Asleep,” check out its throbbing focus tune.
“Hundred Or More” is a bright indietronica and alternative pop mix, behind which may lie a love for oldy, dancey Madchester. The accelerated funky beat, ear-catching bass sorties, and vibrating guitars and synths accompany Sophie Lindinger’s discreet and soft low singing. It conveys a dual effect of insouciance and readiness, and as the musicians clarify,
“the track is about trying not to fall into past pain repeatedly & accepting that it may never heal.”
