West Virginia quartet Auric Echoes dropped the enthralling final single from their new album “Division For Human Ascension,” set to be released this Friday.
“Multiplicity” is resonating, proggy trip rock. The wary marimba, guitar and synth, hallucinogenic flute, and farsighted rhythm section deliver a cascading and dizzying development. As if hypnotized, the singer conveys the story of a disturbing experience. Then the saxophone stratification washes everything off into interdimensional flight.
