Boulder, CO artist/project Charlie Daze delivers an enjoyable new cut.
“Guess I'm The Bad Guy” is a gluhwein-like, minimalist indie groove. The bass-spring, direct drum pattern, and island-ish, muted strumming create a simple, yet extra pleasant rhythm wheel. The lead guitar has a bit of anthemic, classic rock nods, oddly reminiscent of Slade and Daft Punk at the same time. Charlie Daze’s chill, viscid vocal part floats through the shades of night romance.
