Christopher Huber, a songsmith from Denton, formerly known as a member of the outfit The Moths TX, has shared a groovy new bop under the moniker Danny Conrad.
“Po’ Boy” is organic, laid-back folk rock. Some moments feel as if Mac DeMarco had a time traveling session with Neil Young, Marc Bolan and Jerry Garcia. The roll-calling guitars flow around the persistent beat and bass. Conrad's vocal part playfully delivers the mischievous lyrics about
“celebrating the carefree life of slackers everywhere.” And in the free slots, the harmonica and saxophone are jamming nonchalantly.
