Los Angeles multiartist Ryan Betschart, who is also half of the experimental band
Shrine Maiden, presents a macabre act for his new solo project Coffee Ghost's first EP.
In its title, the track “The Glassy Burning Floor Of Hell” intriguingly refers to the latest collection of short horror stories by Brian Evenson and in fact turns out to be massive pitch-black droner. The delivery, like a gloomy hum from vile catacombs, brings effective panic visions into the minds on the surface. With the guitar delivery, Betschart made the most drilling, horrid, demonic grinding. This sound seems to transfer a repulsive xenomorph-arthropod that starts to crawl slowly towards you, while you’re immobilized by sleep paralysis.
