The track “Bottle Episode” is tense mechanical rock, and it seems to have absorbed all the energy of a haunted and disturbing factory area. After a minute of the repetitive drum intro and speech, to the pulse of the kick drum, “Bottle Episode” is getting filled with an inauspicious howling of alarm signals and a frightening metallic noise-gritting, reminiscent of Einsturzende Neubauten. The appearing martial drums intensify the rhythm in an ominous way. And Valentine Caulfield’s broadcasting vocals, already passed through the distortion filters, become an apocalyptic portent.
