The Lebanese post-rock quintet presents the lead single from their second album, which will be released in late February.
“Murur Al-Kiram” is a track as if taken from an alt-bossa nova tribute to “Disintegration.” Timid guitar turns are like living creatures that, with a strange confusion about the future, nevertheless stand their ground, scraping off the slag from the thin and cold curves of the body of Beauty. With an intense rhythm, grabbing at the abandoned ambient ropes, you’re slowly stretching inside this atmospheric canvas. And in some parts the work sounds like a frustration of a certain mind entangled in its own chains. Without a doubt, Kinematik exposes the listener to various enthralling feelings.
