New York rap artist Joshua Waiters, or J$H, shows what Jackin 4 Beats means in 2020.
The flow’s tireless, strong ties circulate on top of the familiar beats by Wheezy and Boi-1da. J$H is steadily implanting continuous lines, sounding different all three times. From the first verse, he tells about goals and dreams, expectations and torment, and mentions a necessary tenacity in life. Joshua squeezes the full potential out of the final beat, sounding like Dipset at their prime. And the line “The only outcome is money and some flow crazy see you gotta respect it set the bar so high you can’t even catch it” requires a separate sampling for hooks on top of any powerful hit.
