Riff Cohen is a unique musician, singer-songwriter, as well as actress from Israel, who sings in French, Hebrew and other languages. Having released two powerful albums with the influences of Mizrahi music, Middle Eastern rock and French pop, she presents her second new single “Boi Agale Lach” in anticipation of the third album, out in 2020.
In Hebrew, the name of the track means “Let Me Tell You,” and the song itself is about the concept of loneliness and differs from Riff’s previous brisk material. In “Boi Agale Lach,” a wide, stretching and absorbing oriental melody is layered over a measured beat. Smooth and bewitching vocal reflection shows all the beauty of Riff’s voice with a piece of unhidden dreariness. The track is like one strange moment, dragging you along the valley of eternity, in which countless paths have been lost and overgrown with moss.
