Naca - Kalpa

World fusion inspired, London based trio Naca mesmerizes us with their new single.

In Hindu and Buddhist tradition, the word “Kalpa” means the period of time between the creation and dissolution of the Universe. And the collective reflects without using words about what the concept of time is. Music evenly flows into itself, bumping into frequent islands of kick pulsation and swinging seaweed. Releasing a magical and ancient sound of duduk, the trio awakens a forgotten memory and immediately brings goosebumps. At 1:30, the rhythmic transition to the ride cymbal shows the sound from the invisible side, as if giving us a hint of the intractable skill of balance in this obscure time variability. “Kalpa” is a contemplation in private, a healing sound walk into the forest after heavy and long rain.
