Constantinos Piliouras is a composer and guitar player based in Adelaide, Australia, who creates instrumental music in various directions, from traditional to film and commercial score.
His new work, “Elpida,” is based on Syrtos, Greek folk dance. The first part is dominated by the strings, such as Bouzouki, accompanied by tactful percussion. This historical and picturesque sound inspires you, fulfilling and completing patterns of memory. And then, slowing things down a little, comes the soul-ripping violin, which the other instruments pick up and carry. In “Elpida,” everything is perfectly arranged and harmonious, Constantinos knows where and how to reveal the melodies of incomparable beauty.
