Australian multi-instrumentalist and songstress Tashi Hall presents her latest smooth single.
“Nothing On You” seems to begin with a light pull on a sleeve, but quickly develops into a brisk walk to new places. The rhythmic frame of this track is made as if without glue. At the same time, the core is not this frame, but the laid-back and unhesitating vocal part, around which everything else gathers and revolves. Tashi, using her composing charm, saturates the track with all kinds of groovy riffs, silken chords, winding up piano emphasis and subtle percussion details. Various sound pieces continuously come and do their job beautifully, supporting this fascinating whirl to the very coda.
