Drama Bahama - Swimmers Stop Swimming

Seattle multi-instrumentalist Nathie Katzoff, with the support of some of the best local experimenters, has presented the new release “Heart Shaped Chocolate” of his project Drama Bahama.

The opening track “Swimmers Stop Swimming” offers a fanciful drone ride. Almost for the whole first minute, we are watched by a hollow gaze of the string melody-scarecrow, then the percussion motor comes into motion and our wagon starts moving into the opening depths. Somewhere in the dusk, the saxophone scratches and glides along the walls, but a viscous, oily hum already passes us into the deepest jhanas. Following the advice of Nathie’s once agitating voice left somewhere behind on the surface, we eagerly look into each corner in the kingdom of our own inner emptiness. “Swimmers Stop Swimming” is a sweet dream of young John Cale and excellent auto-training with a consciousness rotated 180°.
