In the lead-up to the third album, the quartet The Warp/The Weft present their masterwork “Saline.”
The instrumental of the song is natural and flowing by itself, the inmost melodic line of the guitar rests on the cordial fingerpicking. As a bright lantern, emerges the soulful, decadent vocal vibrato of Shane Murphy, subtly conveying the uncertain state of mind. Lyrics here are like a self-confession with tears of an age-old burden, carried away into a new, forthcoming dawn. The chorus takes your breath away, as if you were given a personal kaleidoscope of life. “Saline” is an amazing and intimate poetry that doesn’t contain any external vibrations.
