Brooklyn three-piece Endearments shared an atmospheric single from their upcoming album “An Always Open Door” (March 6th). “Real Deal” is a lively and spacious jangle pop cut. The guitars swiftly move from the dreamy horizon due to the magnetic pull of the brisk rhythms, generating a breathable, emotional palette. Frontman Kevin Marksson’s singing has a cottony quality to it, fitting perfectly and breezily with the track’s dynamic. It’s “a song about feeling like you're just a supporting player in someone else's romantic idealization,” he explains.
